Job Description

MAIN MISSION
Carries out the relocation of material goods (furniture, appliances, objects, machines, etc.) from one location to another on behalf of a client.
Performs handling operations (packing/unpacking, assembly/disassembly, protection, loading/unloading of the vehicle, reinstallation in the new premises, etc.).

WORKING CONDITIONS
The activity is carried out while standing, sometimes in uncomfortable positions. It may require moving or lifting heavy loads.

BASIC SKILLS

• Use of manual tools.
• Use of object protection equipment.
• Reading plans and diagrams.
• Regulations related to relocation.
• Packaging techniques.
• Handling gestures and postures.
• Securing techniques.
• Methods for organized loading/unloading of goods.
• Teamwork.

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary
Salary: €11.00 to €12.00 per hour

Required Skills

The profession of mover requires physical strength, but also dexterity and a sense of organization.

Packing is now done using new materials. Furniture handling can still be manual but also involves modern techniques and specialized equipment, such as the furniture lift, which allows heavy objects to be moved up or down from the outside. Knowledge of safety regulations is essential.

The quality of a mover’s work depends on maintaining a good relationship with clients. Movers always work as a team.

A mover can become a driver-mover if they hold a Category C or E (heavy vehicle) license.
