Temporary Workers Benefit from a Protective Status
Temporary workers benefit from a protective status established through regulations and over 25 years of negotiations led by social partners. The key characteristics of this status include stability, equality, transferability, and clarity.
The Most Protective Status in Europe
Stability
Temporary workers are entitled to contractual rights due to their affiliation with the temporary work sector.
Equal Treatment
The reference salary stated in the contract cannot be lower than what a permanent employee with the same qualifications would earn after the probation period in the client company for the same position.
Transferability
From one contract to another and from one temporary employment agency to another, temporary workers retain and accumulate their rights.
Clarity
Contractual rights are managed through clearly identified joint administrative bodies, ensuring easy access and understanding for workers.
Contractual Rights Equivalent to Permanent Employees (CDI)
As part of the temporary employment collective agreement, temporary workers have rights at least equal to those of employees on permanent contracts (CDI).
These contractual rights are managed through clearly identified joint administrative bodies, ensuring transparency and accessibility for all temporary workers.
Social Support (Action Sociale)
Funded by temporary employment companies, AKTO (formerly Fastt – Fonds d'Action Sociale du Travail Temporaire) provides services and benefits to improve the daily lives of temporary workers and simplify administrative processes.
In 2013, AKTO delivered 63,000 services and allocated €17 million to support temporary workers.
