Temporary Employment Contract
In a temporary employment contract, the employment agency is the employer. Its role is to find an assignment for the temporary worker that matches their skills and qualifications. Once selected, the agency assigns the worker to a client company.
The employment contract between the temporary worker and the employment agency is called the "mission contract" (contrat de mission).
Fixed-Term (CDD) and Permanent (CDI) Contracts
An employment agency can also offer:
✅ Fixed-term contracts (CDD)
✅ Permanent contracts (CDI)
In these cases, the client company is the employer and signs the contract directly with the recruited worker.
Apprenticeship Contract
Since 2012, employment agencies have been authorized to recruit apprentices and assign them to client companies (Law of July 28, 2011).
Benefits of an apprenticeship through a temporary agency:
✔ Gain experience in various industries and companies
✔ Benefit from two mentors: one at the employment agency and one at the client company
✔ Build a diverse skillset and strengthen career opportunities
